Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
