A further victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.

This match offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second consecutive match.
The Shelbourne side that had finished their domestic season were no match even for a mostly rotated Palace outfit. The visitors were further depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with knee injuries.
